I figured out how to upload my phone pictures!!

I will probably blog a lot more frequently, now that I figured out how to upload my phone pictures.  I should have just kept with the iphones... I love my windows phone, but it doesn't work conveniently with any other operating system.
 Cocoa fighting bedtime hard
She discovered that she likes to throw things on the ground for me to retrieve.

Shh....cartoons are on
my dr told me I had to stop rolling my eyes so much....they will get stuck that way

Cemetery at Virginia City
Lunch at the Char Pit in Kings Beach California (California side of Tahoe)
Fun to drive through "the strip"
We rode the ferris wheel in here.  What a fun store.
Kya and Claire were our very entertaining dates for dinner one night.  Vi stayed home with a little fever (she just needed a nap).
Kya and Claire discovered Claire's first loose tooth at dinner!
Claire is still working on it.
Road Trip selfie.  This is as we are leaving Carson.  We are all happy and tired, signs of a good road trip.
Major wind storms outside of Reno.  We saw two semi's overturned between Reno and Susanville.  It was kind of scary.
Back home, I discovered a little White Tulip in the middle of my "grass" in the back. Makes me wonder what else will sprout up as the spring progresses. Also I use the term "grass" very liberally.  Converting our weed garden into a lawn will have to wait until next year, this year it is the fence, a giant tree and some stump removal...joys of home ownership (we are loving it!)

These two are road trip pros.
6 hours a day like it was nothing!
On the road up to Virginia City.  I think this drive was my favorite part of the trip.  It was so calm and beautiful.  I love being up in the mountains.
Me and Peter.  You can really see my unexpected layering I had to give myself a few days prior.  I got gorilla glue in my hair and apparently water makes it stick even harder! yikes! oh well...it's hair it will grow back.
 Tahoe is heavenly.

Pictures at Char Pit.  Some of the best burgers I've had in a while.  My "hole in the wall" philosophy on restaurants succeeds again.

A $2 ball from target is always a smart purchase.  The kids needed a good run around the yard.

More dust storms
Living with Claire is never a dull moment. Today she colored herself blue with sidewalk chalk.

Monday she did this.....only one pane of the glass is broken.  To have it replaced will take a month (don't ask me why I think it's dumb).  Other than the broken window all is well.  I will probably have more pictures to share in a few weeks.

Travel in 2015 so far

Well Facebook has the worst photo upload system on the planet so I guess it is back to blogging for our vacation photos.  First is Haystack rock at Cannon Beach.  I went down for the day for my Grandmothers birthday party.  I had a really fun time.

Last week we went down to Nevada to visit Katie and her family.  It was really fun to visit with the kids and Peter really enjoyed seeing some of the places he served on his mission.  These pictures are from the drive up the mountain to Virginia city.
Claire collected quite a few rocks...I think one was granite, I'll have to look at it a little closer.

Vi is like me and does not like heights so she was none too thrilled about posing for this picture.

Here is the view of Virginia City from the Cemetery.  The Cemetery was really cool.

The headstones were really, really, really specific.

Mural in town
This was the kids favorite part of the day.

The Catholic church in Virginia city was gorgeous.

Charming... a donkey blocking traffic.
On Friday we took the kids up to Lake Tahoe.  It was sooooo pretty. and we were the only ones there

I swear that man is part goat.

The water is incredibly clear

We had a wonderful trip, the kids did well on the drive and they enjoyed staying in a hotel along the way.  We will have to plan another trip to Nevada soon.

I'm heading off to Florida to visit my Sister and best friend in 2 weeks.  2015 is the year of the vacations so far.  I wish we could travel every weekend.
