Ok so my new camera records HD videos and that is great and all because I get nice quality videos of the kids dancing around but they are too much for Blogger to handle so...there are 3 new videos on my facebook page so you will have to go check them out there. I may learn how to upload to youtube or something but for now the video of Violet singing to rocket, Violet's preschool class singing, and Violet getting her preschool certificate are on my facebook page.

School's out for the summer!

School is out for the summer! That sentence has such a different meaning now that I am the parent and not the student. The girls and I have been having fun for a few days. They both really love to sleep in so that is one thing they are loving to do. And since it stays light so much longer in the summer we are able to run around and play a little later than normal. I love summer! above is a picture of V and C riding the mechanical ponies at Lattins. I'm going to have to start collecting quarters! ever time we go they want to ride the ponies and it's a cheap and easy way to entertain them so... why not?

Violet "graduated" from her first year of Preschool! We are so proud of her and so glad that she has been able to be in such a great preschool program this year. She has changed and grown so much this year. she is such a sweet little girl. I love her so much and I am so lucky to have her.

Here is Violet getting her certificate with Teacher Dona. Violet with have Dona next year as well, but she will have afternoon preschool instead of mornings.

On father's day we got to go out to my grandparents house for a family dinner. I love their backyard, it is where Peter and I had our wedding reception. The view of the sound is always so gorgeous. above is Violet standing at the end of the lawn, looking for whales....she said she saw one out there in the ocean! ....it may have been a duck :)

if this video will ever load it is of Violet's class singing a song called "milkshake" they were all a little confused as to why their parents were in class with them, so some of them didn't do it at first. Violet does it but is a little shy about it. she is so cute. I can't believe she is growing up so fast.

50 things

It is almost the deadline for my 50 things to do in a year list and I am nowhere near done! I have really enjoyed having this list as motivation to get out and learn new things and try new things. I will update you on things I did finish this year but I am now working on my 50 things list for next year.....and I have about 17 things on my list. So what are some things you think I should try this year? Places I should go? things I should experience?

what we are up to

It has been a long time since we posted anything, so here goes. . .


Allison turned 1 about a week ago. I cannot believe it has been a year already, time is just flying by. She is walking a little bit, but still loves to be held.


Yummy, Birthday cupcakes!

Sam we are starting to potty train. IT usually consists of Sam running around in the buff. He has only had a few accidents. Hopefully soon. Fingers crossed.

We ripped out our front garden a few months ago and filled it with hibiscus, gardenias, marigolds, etc. It looks so much better. We still have that palm tree, maybe next spring we'll up date that part of the garden (we do not have an after picture yet--maybe next post)

Sam loves his pillow pet, "Friendly Frog".

We inheritated a little car from a lady at swimming. Allison LOVES this and could be pushed around the yard all day if we'd let her. It is one of the first things we do when we go outside.

The Easter Bunny dropped off this big pool in our backyard this year. It has been a lot of fun. FOr the first few weeks it was our WWF ring.
