School's out for the summer!

School is out for the summer! That sentence has such a different meaning now that I am the parent and not the student. The girls and I have been having fun for a few days. They both really love to sleep in so that is one thing they are loving to do. And since it stays light so much longer in the summer we are able to run around and play a little later than normal. I love summer! above is a picture of V and C riding the mechanical ponies at Lattins. I'm going to have to start collecting quarters! ever time we go they want to ride the ponies and it's a cheap and easy way to entertain them so... why not?

Violet "graduated" from her first year of Preschool! We are so proud of her and so glad that she has been able to be in such a great preschool program this year. She has changed and grown so much this year. she is such a sweet little girl. I love her so much and I am so lucky to have her.

Here is Violet getting her certificate with Teacher Dona. Violet with have Dona next year as well, but she will have afternoon preschool instead of mornings.

On father's day we got to go out to my grandparents house for a family dinner. I love their backyard, it is where Peter and I had our wedding reception. The view of the sound is always so gorgeous. above is Violet standing at the end of the lawn, looking for whales....she said she saw one out there in the ocean! ....it may have been a duck :)

if this video will ever load it is of Violet's class singing a song called "milkshake" they were all a little confused as to why their parents were in class with them, so some of them didn't do it at first. Violet does it but is a little shy about it. she is so cute. I can't believe she is growing up so fast.
