Halloween and what we've been up to

I realize that to avoid these mass posts I probablly should give updates more frequently. I also apoligize for the confusion in the order. I guess it kind of goes from most recent to oldest. We had a fun Halloween. Wesley was Bob the Builder adn Sam was a Seahawks fan. We had a ward trunk-or-treat the week before Halloween and then I took Wesley trick-or-treating on Halloween. I went as a Mom in shorts and sandals. Amazing! You can wear summer clothes on Halloween. It is great!

what we've been up to cont.

The boys and I went to the Children's museum in HOuston. Wesley loved to drive this VW van. Wesley also liked to drive this car. I think he is taking Sam to school, or maybe HEB. I forgot.

Sam liked this Mustsang. He's a lot like his brother. ANything with wheels. He even has learned to push cars along as he crawls.

We went to the alligator park with Errin and Brandon. NO fenses, they say you should "be prepared to defend your self, or run away." I vote run away.

Sam loves to feed himself. Here he is eating his stars.

I am able to post a few pictures again so here goes. We had a great time at Errin and Brandon's wedding. Wesley got to carry cousin Gina's boquet for her. Gina was carrying Voilet who was suppose to "march" with Wesley, and yeah, if you want the full eye witness story talk to Gina. Anyhow, we had a nice time and have been lucky enough to get to spend time with Errin and Brandon since they have been living in Louisiana.
Sam realized that he loves balls at Grandma's. What a cutie.
One of the attempts to get the grand children all looking for a picture. Maybe we'll have better luck now that every one will live close again.

We returned home from Olympia on MOnday night, really late. That Friday Hurricane Ike hit. Our neighborhood was very fortunate and did not sustain very much damage. Lots of leaning trees, oh and we had a little flooding, nothing too big. We just need a new carpet pad.
We evacuated to the Stake Center in College Station. Each family got a class room and a we just camped out. There were a whole bunch of people from the Spanish Branch in Pasedena. They were so kind to us and fed us for every meal. We brought MRE's and were prepared to really rough it, but we were very well off.

He made it!

Peter's in Houston at Emily's house. He's exhausted but everything went smoothly with the drive. I am really glad he's there. I'm sure in the coming weeks we will have a lot of new things happening and we'll keep you posted on when Violet and I are going down.

Thanks Emily and Jonathan for letting Peter stay at your place for a while.

last travel day!

Peter just called and he is in Bowie, TX (as in David Bowie) which is about 5 hours from Houston. So he should be there by 6 pm Houston time.

Travel update #3

Peter is about an 1 1/2 from Amarillo, Texas. He'll stop there for the night. He said that he encountered a little ice in Colorado but the rest of the trip has been just fine. He says his hind end gets tired by the end of the day but other than that he is doing great. From Amarillo he only has 600 miles to Houston.
Emily-if Peter doesn't get a hold of you tonight you could just send me your address and I'll give him directions to your house.
