we're home

We finally made it home from the hospital, as you all probably know. Things are good here. I don't remember Wesley pooping as much as Samuel does, but Wesley was a baby too once, so I probably just forgot. We are really looking forward to having Mom come for a few weeks and Katie for a few days. It will be such a big help as Jonathan is really busy at work. They were calling him with questions as we left the hospital and as we drove home. It is neat to be needed. Wesley has had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to being the big brother (especially because I cannot pick him up for a while!) Things are getting better though. Hope all is well. Enjoy the pictures

Violet the Cruiser

Violet is growing so fast. Today she was holding onto the coffee table and decided she wanted the remote that was a little ways down the table so she took two little steps and picked up the remote! I was totally amazed! she promptly fell on her tush but sh was pretty proud of herself. She is also quite accomplished at scooting backwards on her tummy, she scoots all over the house backwards, it's pretty funny. On Saturday she met my friends son who is 7 months old and she stole his toys, ripped his socks off and spit up on his play mat...what a stinker. The kids seemed to enjoy each other though and made lovey faces at each other, it was adorable.
Love,
Ellen

out of the mouths of babes

So, we all know that Wesley's vocabulary is pretty good for a 2 year old. This past week he has been saying some really cute things. Last weekend I went to a Relief Society conference and was gone for a few hours. When I came back, Wesley ran up to me and said, "I miss you" and gave me a big hug. The next day I was getting ready for Church and Wesley came in wearing his church clothes and looking pretty sharp. I said, "Oh, Wesley, you look so nice." Wesley replied, "Mama look nice too." Again, my heart melted.
Last night Wesley had a touch of the flu and spent most of the night being sick. After he finished vomiting he'd say, "There we go." I felt bad for him, but was glad he was feeling better. Anyhow. Jonathan's family wants to get together in Washington this summer. Some have expressed interest in June, but I am really pushing for August. All the locals say that Houston is unbearable in August and I's rather not be stuck in the house all day with 2 kids. Anyhow, hope all is well.

blog to you

Howdy family;

I just typed a whole bunch of things and hit wrong button and sent it all some where out there, I hope someone enjoys all my clever quips. When your as old as me it's real hard to be clever twice in a row with any degree of creditability. Any way we always enjoy pictures and comments of you kids and the grand kids please keep them coming.

Today at high council meeting Ellen's' Grandparents reported on their mission to the Tacoma mission office. The did a fantastic job and will be missed by the mission, but we are very anxious to have them back in the stake. Well best be going will post more later.

new table, and other news

HI everyone. We just wanted to show you all our new table. Jonathan thought it was really important to have a table so that we can have people over for dinner. I do see his point, so, with a little help from Grandpa Brown, we bought one. So now if you come to visit, we can sit at a table.

Don't those chairs remind you of Grandpa Brown's chairs?

It also came with a china closet. Now we can finally put some nice things out without worrying whether or not Wesley will get into them

Oh yeah, so I have really gotten "big" the past couple of weeks

Jonathan and Wesley love to play Monster Trucks with dad's new truck
