Officially a toddler

Violet has officially entered the world of Toddlerhood, by taking her first very funny steps.  She can walk about 4 feet between Peter and I and she walks with her hands straight up in the air (what a funny kid).  She really just takes two or three steps and then makes a dive for our arms.  It is hilarious to watch and Violet thinks it's the best thing ever.

Also, we received a response to our request for potential birth mothers for our friends, Daniel and Belinda.  Errin Wilson has a friend that is working with LDS family services also and is due in September, and a connection has been made, so if you could keep these two families in your prayers so that everything works out for the best for the baby and the parents.  We'll keep you posted on any updates.
Love you all!

Arizona Wood's

Well, after a failed adotpion with Eli, Warren and Mel were able to adopt another baby. They got a call last week from an agency that wanted to place a baby girl with them. This baby is also in Sacramento. I think it is official, Maxine has a little sister. They are thinking about calling her Virginia (Ginger) after Jonathan's Mom. We are so glad that simething wonderful did work out for them.

epilogue

I guess the birth father would not sign his consent for the adoption. We are very sad for the whole situation, but Warren and Mel seem to be thinking of the birth mother and baby's situation rather than their own.

new cousin

We have a new cousin in our family! Warren and Mel were selected to adopt another little baby. This time it is a boy. He was born this morning at about 12:30am in California. They named him Eli. We are so excited for them and for Wesley and Sam to have another cousin. I guess they just found out last week and flew out to Sacramento on Thursday to meet the birth mom. They got home on Saturday night and Mel flew back to California Sunday (the Mom went into labor Sunday morning.) Anyhow, we are excited for them!

Life in Texas

We are all doing just fine. Jonathan has given some of his work load to a new engineer that they hired and that makes us glad. We are just happy that he is working hard for the company. Sam is starting to talk a lot more and last night just told us all about everything at dinner. it was a lot of fun. Here is a few picutres of some things we've been up to lately.
Wesley is starting to show a little intrerst in the potty. We got him some Lightening McQueen pull-ups. One day I went into his room to find that he'd decided that his new pull-ups make a better hat than underwear.

Baby Sam is a smiler and he really loves his dad.

We have a "rest" every day after lunch. Sometimes it just turns into playtime. Wesley loves to pull his toys out of his toy box and either put them all in his bed, or push them all out of his bed. Today his potty seat got in on the action.

Grandpa and Wesley at Sam's blessing. Wesley is looking forward to comming to see Gma and Gpa again. He knows that in August we are going to fly on another blue airplane at the airport.

Gpa and Sam at the blessing lunch. Sam's is excited to get to know his grandparents more too!

Violet and I found a new toy on our computer.  It's a photo booth. Here are some of my favorites from our photo session.  Violet was laughing and having a great time.  She loves to see pictures of herself and other babies.  We haven't had the time to figure out the actual webcam chatting feature but we hope to soon.  Do we need to have the same chat program as you to chat?
We are very excited for Violet's 1st birthday next friday.
Violet is also looking forward to seeing some Pictures from her cousin Samuel's blessing...hint...hint. :)
Love you all! have a great day!

Last Saturday I was at the Nisqually camp and saw Uncle Lamonts brother Richard we had a very nice visit and I found out that 4 of Sandi and Lamonts kids are expecting. Mindy, Holly, Kelly and Kayleen. We plan on spending time with Uncle Val will let you know of any news later. Called Mom yesterday and she is doing fine still playing for her musical group, that keep her occupied. Well will write more later.
