Here's to 5 Years!

today is our 5th anniversary! Can you believe it? I can't believe we have been married so long. I have been really blessed to have my favorite person in the world with me for the last 5 years. Here are some pictures of us :) A few days before Peter and I got married we went out to the beach for a family reunion and wrote the E loves P in the sand. the beach has always been a favorite place for us to be, we try to go back as often as we can.

I love you Peter!
Here we are a few days before we got married.

Our wedding Day! August 25th 2005! I was thinking about how wonderful that day was and I remember walking into the temple before everything was getting started and there was Peter in the entry way and we just got to spend a minute together before we went and got married, it was a really nice reminder before all the craziness of the day began, about what that day was about. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

Our first apartment in Bellingham.....what a dump! we only lived there 3 months so I could finish school. Peter has always supported me in whatever I've decided to do with my life and I can say he worked really hard to ensure that I was able to finish my education. We lived in a scary neighborhood and he worked at a dollar store!

December 2005 I graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Political science! yay!
Our second home was in Rexburg, Idaho. I remember when we pulled up that January, it was dark and snowy....this was not a good sign for me :) We had a lot of fun in Rexburg though and I'm glad for the experience.

I remember this day we had put off going to the temple for so long and we finally got ourselves together and we were getting ready to go and Peter got a phone call from a friend who was calling to complain about having to drive all the way out to Idaho Falls just to find out the temple was closed! We were sad we couldn't go but we were glad we didn't spend 45 mins driving to find that out!

Can you believe that is little Wesley! this was March of 2006, we were able to drive down to Provo and see Wesley be blessed. It was a fun weekend away from Rexburg :) By this point I had found my first job in Rexburg, I had just started as a telephone survey operator....I lasted a whole 4 days on the phones and then I got a job at Wal Mart, where I cashiered and worked in the accounting office.

this is back in Washington a few weeks after our first anniversary. We had mad a trip home to visit family and to go to Lauren Clegg's wedding. We didn't know it at the time but we were expecting Violet :)

this picture was taken on the 4th of july 2007. Violet was only about 6 weeks old and spent her first 4th of july out on the grass in front of our apartment building watching the fireworks over Rexburg....they only last about 5 minutes but we enjoyed them.

this is August 2007, we moved home to Olympia for a few months for an internship and it was in 3rd ward that we had Violet blessed.

this was at a family party that summer....I think we were watching a WWE pay per view :)

this is at Peter's parents house. We have been so fortunate to have family that has supported us all these years, we have really had the freedom to do whatever we needed to do and we have always had the support of our families.

After the internship we moved back to Rexburg for the Spring of 2008. Violet turned 1 that May, and we had a fun party with all our Rexburg friends (who were mostly Peter's missionary companions).

We celebrated our second 4th of July in Rexburg. It was a fun day and this year we went to the parade and saw the fireworks from the same patch of grass. As soon as the fireworks ended the sprinklers turned on to water the lawn we were sitting on!

After Peter graduated we went back to Olympia so he could look for work but 2008 was not a good year to be looking for work so we went on our next big adventure and moved to Houston, texas to take a job with the good crane company!

this is Christmas morning 2008....don't we look lovely?

We really loved living in Houston. We had so much fun. We found out that January that we were going to have another baby! this picture was at the Houston temple which was only a few blocks from my Grandparents old house in Houston, it was fun to drive by and see where I used to visit as a kid. I was just thinking about all the temples I have been able to spend time in with my husband and I've been really lucky to see so many of them: we have been to the Seattle, WA, Portland, OR; Spokane, WA; Rexburg, ID, Idaho Falls, ID; Salt Lake City, Ut and Houston, tx temples. they are all beautiful and unique and we have had some beautiful experiences together in these temples.

Here we are 4th of July 2009. You can't really tell in this picture but I am about 8 months pregnant. We moved home to Olympia about 2 weeks later and Claire was born 6 weeks later.

Here we are at Claire's baby blessing...so far all our kids have been blessed in the Olympia 3rd Ward. Peter was working part time at a store called tuesday Morning and looking for work in the Olympia area. a few months later he found a job with Department of Licensing which is where he works now.

We really love being in Olympia, both our families live here and we had a lot of fun spending that christmas with our families. Here we are at the Hunters tree farm picking out a tree for that year.

this is a picture at my Brother Johns' birthday party at Famous Daves.

So the next picture I have of Peter and I together is 7 months later on the 4th of July. I think we need to make an effort to take some more couple pictures because we have about 2,000 pictures of the girls in that time frame and 2 pictures of us :) this 4th of July was so much fun for us, it was the first year since we had been married that we were in Washington and able to light off our own fireworks. We had a blast! (pun intended )

Well here we are it's August 2010 and we are back at the beach. We are a little older, a little rounder and the bags under our eyes have gotten a little darker. We have been blessed with a wonderful life and a wonderful family. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us. So Happy Anniversary Peter! I love you so much!
